Pickin' in Horseshoe Bend Park

Ron Henry Horseshoe Bend River Park is a wonderful park located in McCaysville, GA. The park features theToccoa River. The park is year-round and is a division of the Fannin County Recreation Department. The park was developed by a Department of Natural Resources grant. The park has playground areas, benches along the river bank, 2 picnic shelters, picnic tables, horseshoe pits, volleyball courts, grills and restrooms. It is designed for group gatherings, such as family reunions, church groups, birthday parties, music gatherings, company groups and more. A perfect setting for a family picnic or a place to just get away and enjoy the tranquility.
Pickin' in Horseshoe Bend Park  will be every Thursday, 6:00 PM to dusk, running May-September. Live music by local artists with pickin' on the banks of the Toccoa River at the Horseshoe Bend Park in McCaysville. Every one is welcome and best of all admission is FREE! Just bring your own blanket or favorite folding chair.

Valentines Day Tree!

On February 14th everyone will celebrate Valentines Day. Candy, cards and flowers our sent to our "special someone". As the old song goes "Love is in the air everywhere I look around!" As a company, Mountain Laurel Cabin Rentals discussed what we could do to celebrate this special holiday. We decided for all major holidays we will be decorating our Christmas tree year round! Rainy Days in the Mountains

It's been raining in the North Georgia mountains this week and while some of you may be singing "Rain, Rain, Go Away" our local fishermen are rejoicing!  Rain may not be the ideal condition for many outdoor activities but this rain has done wonder for the fishing.

The rivers are full and running and we hear from our local fish guides that this is a great time to catch fish.  Many of our North Georgia vacation cabin rentals are situated right on the local rivers and offer fishing right from the cabin.
